DONNIE DEES

Donnie, recently retired from 35 years in education, has been with Mid-South Sports, Inc. since its inception. Donnie served originally as a game site reporter, but soon took on the role of host of the Taco Bell Scoreboard. Under Donnie’s direction, the Taco Bell Scoreboard has become THE authority for scores and highlights all across North Carolina, and has been adopted by the North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) as their official scoreboard. Donnie also coordinates a team of game site reporters that are deployed each week all across the state. Donnie is a graduate of 71st High School where he was a three sport letterman, earning All East Honors in football as a wide receiver. He attended Mars Hill College, received his B.A. Degree from Pembroke State University (now UNC-P), his M.Ed. from East Carolina University, and his Masters in Counseling from Campbell University. He and his wife Jean have two sons Michael and Brandon.
