Ray Quesnel
Ray Quesnel serves as a statistician for the Mid-South Sports broadcast team which he joined in 2012. Ray is a native New Englander, but has called North Carolina home since 1989. He met his wife Wendy while both were students at the University of Vermont, where Ray earned his degree in mathematics. Ray was named the university’s Intramural Athlete of the Year while a senior at UVM. He has spent his entire professional career in the field of education, and currently serves as the Head of School at Fayetteville Academy. Ray has also served as an Athletic Director and a high school math teacher and he spent nineteen years as a high school coach, with experience at the varsity level in basketball, baseball, football, and cross-country. Ray serves on the Board of Directors for both the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association and the Fayetteville Kiwanis Club, and he is a member of the Board of Visitors at Methodist University. Ray can also be heard as a frequent guest host on “The Round Table with Michael Knight” on ESPN radio in Fayetteville. Ray and Wendy have two adult children Kelly and Jonathan, and their entire family zealously supports the Boston Red Sox.
